The latest Vans Vault series was designed by Robert Williams. His inspirations from California car culture, cinematic apocalypticism, and film noir helped create works that cannot go unnoticed. The most memorable of his pieces is probably the one he did for the Appetite for Destruction album. Originally planned for the cover, it was deemed too grotesque to depict interlocking levels of human-to-robot rape and brutality, so it was moved to the inlet.
