Sneaker Freaker takes a look back at the best sneakers from 2008. They asked many designers, store owners, etc… to pick their favourite shoe from 2008. Not surprisingly, almost everyone chose the shoe that he/she directly had a part in creating. After a while it’s gets a bit redundant, and annoying. The report doesn’t really seem to sum up what were in fact some of the best sneakers of 2008, but instead offers a first-hand review on some collaborations. Notably, some of the best reviews come from those who did not, or did not choose a shoe they had worked on directly (ie. Frank the Butcher). Might have been a better idea to make a conscious effort to not pick people who designed their own shoe. Maybe next year. Oh yeah, they did the same thing last year as well, so don’t hold your breath.
