Taka Hayashi has once again joined forces with Vans Vault. For the collaboration, the Japanese-born artist completed several new art pieces in his signature style as well as designed three new footwear styles. The pack consists of the high-top No Quarter LX in two colourways, the Velocita LX also in two colourways, and the Akat LX in three colourways. Taka’s artwork and designs for this project were influenced by traditionally crafted Native American goods, vintage military surplus and 1960’s Italian-made footwear. The pack is expected to release this summer.

More after the jump.

[...] It’s a new year, so it’s about time for a new collaboration between designer extraordinaire Taka Hayashi and Vans.  This time, it’s the Vans Vault collection that the Japanese-born artist has made his own.  Containing two No Quarter LXs, two Velocita LXs and a trio of Akat LX, all three models draw heavily upon a combination of traditional Native American aesthetics, vintage military surplus and 1960’s Italian shoes.  The mashup is nothing short of stunning — exceptionally sharp colour choices compliment these rarely seen models — the collection really stands out as Taka’s *own*.  They’ll all be ready this summer, and you can find more pics after the jump, via mashKULTURE [...]

[...] It is still the beginning of the year and we all know what that means, the beginning of new collaborations. Vans has joined with Japanese-born artist Taka Hayashi to create the Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi – Fall 2009 Collection. This selection will include three signature Vans models including the No Quarter LXs, two Velocita LXs and a trio of the Akat LX. All three shoes will combine the vintage look and feel of Italian dress shoes of the 1960s with subtle Native American and military accents. A stylishly sophisticated assortment of colors were selected for the models and suitable for any mature male. Via MashKulture. [...]
