Dulce Pinzon ‘The Real Story of Superheroes’

For her latest project, Dulce Pinzon chose to rethink the meaning of superheroes.  She examined the connection Mexicans play in America’s economy, and how their wages boost Mexico’s economy as many migrant workers send their paychecks to their families back home. For Pinzon, these are the true heroes. Each photo taken is of a Mexican/Latino worker in his/her own work environment. We get a look at a window-washing Spiderman, a construction worker Thing, a Catwoman nanny, etc…

More after the jump.
