Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse, and David Lynch have all put their fair share of work down on the table separately, but they (along with half a dozen other A-list singers) have gotten together on a new project.

Keep reading to find out more.

The only news ringing in the special collaboration is a disturbing photo accompanied by even more disturbing sounds, and some names, so the anxious audience (including myself) will have to just wait patiently. The list, however is almost more imposing than Lex Steele in a Japanese sauna: Danger Mouse, the famed producer of Grammy Award-winning Gnarls Barkley, Mr. Mark Linkous from Sparklehorse, while the visuals (and some vocal work) were done by none other than David Lynch himself. Furthermore, “Francis” Frank Black (Pixies), and the maturing Iggy Pop, the Flaming Lips, Julian Casablancas from the Strokes, Nina Persson from the Cardigans, James Mercer, Jason Lytle, Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals) and Suzanne Vega all make an appearance. My professional opinion said it would be messy-melancholic, dark-psychedelic pop-rock, with a bit of electronic-synth mixed in, and a whole lot of depressing vocals, all combined with Lynch’s stunning visual imagery. And I was right:) Listen to the entire album here.

Attention: I would recommend this to those above 25 who find Life of Ryan utterly repulsive, yet have been deeply moved emotionally by a proper rock concert.

Here’s the full tracklist:

“Revenge,” feat. Flaming Lips / 4:54
“Just War,” feat. Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals / 3:44
“Jaykub,” feat. Jason Lytle / 3:53
“Little Girl,” feat. the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas / 4:33
“Angel’s Harp,” feat. Frank Black / 2:56
“Pain,” feat. Iggy Pop / 2:52
“Stars Eyes (I Can’t Catch It),” feat. David Lynch / 3:11
“Everytime I’m With You,” feat. Jason Lytle / 3:12
“Insane Lullaby,” feat. the Shins’ James Mercer / 3:10
“Daddy’s Gone,” feat. Nina Persson and Mark Linkous / 3:08
The Man Who Played God,” feat. Suzanne Vega / 3:10
“Grim Augury,” feat. Vic Chestnut / 2:32
“Dark Night of the Soul,” feat. David Lynch / 4:39

Release date: “Sometime in the Summer”. Oh yeah, and it isn’t just an album, but a book too, and some sort of travelling circus.

To conclude, here is a perfect video about absolutely nothing:
