Banksy Vandalized (Twice)
Banksy’s work – which once was referred to as vandalism, but is now revered – has become the target of another type of vandal (a disgruntled ex-employee, perhaps?). On Monday night, someone defaced one of Banksy’s more famous Bristol street pieces – depicting a naked man hanging from a window – by shooting it with a paintgun. Before fans of the artist could recover from the shock, another piece was bombarded with paint-filled balloons the following night. Work has already begun on the restoration of the pieces. Could we be seeing more of Banksy’s art vandalized? Stay tuned.
