After half a dozen great remixes (Animal Collective, Burial, Panda Bear, Bloc Party, Grouper), St. Louis’ Phaseone drops his album, entitled Thanks But No Thanks. It could best be described as IDM, but I surmise that a Vangelis dubstep album would sound pretty similar. Phase1 has already proved with his remixes that he’s a force to be reckoned with, and the quality is there on all 13 tracks of the LP.
