Daily Video: Kid Cudi “Make Her Say” feat Kanye West & Common (2009)
Tags: Daily Video, Kid Cudi, music, roki, video
I’m probably the only one on the planet, but I only found out a couple weeks ago that this is originally a Lady Gaga track. (And that’s only because Faith No More – true to tradition – covered it in concert on their reunion tour). So Poker Face (“Poke Her Face”)covered by Kid Cudi = Make Her Say. It’s light years better than Gaga’s. Too bad they left out the end.
Freshcotton x Ben G x The Hundreds ‘XXX’
Tags: 5, Ben G, Freshcotton, The Hundreds

The Hundreds show us a three-way collaboration between two Dutch retailers: Freshcotton and skate boutique, Ben G. They designed a pack consisting of a tee and a baseball cap. Both take cues from Amsterdam, including the use of the traditional green Amsterdam colour, its coat of arms, and if you’ve ever visited, the XXX is self-explanatory. Look for the tee to release this Saturday at Ben G, and on the 29th at Freshcotton. mash rating: 5/10

DJ-Kicks: Chromeo Up Next
Tags: Chromeo, DJ-Kicks, K7, music, Phil Kraft

Perhaps the world’s most widely known mix series is !K7’s legendary DJ-Kicks mix collection. It’s been on hiatus since October of 2007 with the last mix being given by Booka Shade, but today official word was given that DJ-Kicks is back and the next ones up are Chromeo, who will no doubt put together some seriously dope, pimpin’ ’80s disco coupled with self-ironic R&B. Some names have already leaked as to who will be featured on the mix: Leo Slayer, France Joli and The Alan Parsons Project.
Although we’ll have to wait until October for the full mix, Chromeo have put together an exclusive track that can already be downoaded for free now. Get it here.
