Here is a pair of Air Max 1s designed by the folks at Patta. The Amsterdam-based boutique, unfortunately, never released the shoe. There are supposedly only three in existence. One, however, is currently available on eBay for a ridiculous $1900. The upper is made using canvas and mesh with green accents. The insole features a graphic based on Pink Floyd’s The Wall cover art. It’s too bad these never saw an official release. mash rating: 7.5

Over the weekend, FTC launched their new website. The most significant addition to the new site is the Spring/Summer lookbook, which – as always – aims to mirror the San Francisco street lifestyle, and the elements it encompasses: skateboarding, fixed gear bikes, etc… The collection offers a wide range of basic, quality garments including tees, hats, shirts, jackets, chinos, and more. mash rating: 7/10

Just recently, Original Fake revamped their website. Besides offering a look at their archive, they will be launching a shop blog shortly, and have also added the Fall/Winter lookbook to the site. Shot by John Rawlinson at the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Japan with a Canon 5DMKII with a 28-135mm lens. The tank called the ‘Kuroshio Sea’ holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world’s second largest acrylic glass panel, measuring 8.2 meters by 22.5 meters with a thickness of 60 centimeters. Whale sharks and manta rays are kept amongst many other fish species in the main tank.

After half a dozen great remixes (Animal Collective, Burial, Panda Bear, Bloc Party, Grouper), St. Louis’ Phaseone drops his album, entitled Thanks But No Thanks. It could best be described as IDM, but I surmise that a Vangelis dubstep album would sound pretty similar. Phase1 has already proved with his remixes that he’s a force to be reckoned with, and the quality is there on all 13 tracks of the LP. Ok, I’ll stop with the praising, and let you decide for yourself. Check it out Last FM, and you can even download it for free. mash rating: 7.5/10
