C’était un rendez-vous

C’était un rendez-vous is a 1976 short film by Claude Lelouch. The plot is pretty simple: Lelouch mounted a camera onto the front of a Ferrari 275 GTB (Lelouch later revealed it was a Mercedes 450 SEL, with Ferrari engine and braking noises dubbed over) and had a friend – a professional Formula 1 pilot – speed through the streets of Paris at 5:30 in the morning racing through red lights, and nearly clipping pedestrians and taking out whole flocks of pigeons, etc… They were unable to get a permit to close the streets, but supposedly had people on CB radios at intersections to make sure the driver would run red lights unscathed. Either way, the driver had balls of steel, and the film itself is pretty kickass.

Nice bit of footage and the driver has big balls, in the write up you missed (Lelouch later revealed it was a Mercedes 450 SEL, with Ferrari engine and braking noises BADLY dubbed over)
