Digital Daily: EyeSeeCam Captures Exactly What You See

May 31st, 2010  •   Posted by: Mark Sabb  •   Posted in: Digital Daily  •   1 Comment

There’s no way any normal human creature could describe these with any justice. In a nutshell, whatever you look at will not only be captured, but can also be zoomed. “A new German-developed head-mounted camera system tracks your eye movements, pointing a camera wherever you look and allowing you to zoom in on your view. Four cameras are involved: Two cameras measure your eye positions in 3D at super-fast speeds, up to 600 Hz, watching your eyes via an acrylic reflector. Another camera offers a zoomable view of what you’re seeing. The fourth is steered by servo motors to match whichever way your eyes move.”

Sports Story: Venus Williams Shocks with Lace Outfit, and Then Loses

May 31st, 2010  •   Posted by: Mark Sabb  •   Posted in: Sports Story  •   Be the first to comment!

First things first, those are skin-coloured shorts. Now on to business, even Venus Williams’ lace outfit couldn’t help her, as the tennis legend was defeated at the French Open again. She’s never won the French Open, and she’s also not nearly as hot as her sister, so no one cares. Williams lost 6-4, 6-3 to Nadia Petrova in the fourth round at Roland Garros. “It’s not ideal, but I feel like I had a day where I want to hit the ball crosscourt and it went down the line.” Williams continued, “Sometimes, it happens.” To quote Ray from Trailer Park Boys: “That’s the way she goes, boys. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn’t cause that’s the fuckin’ way she goes.”
