Nike’s Best Ad Ever

Coming up with great ads and slogans for Nike is nothing new for Wieden + Kennedy (ie. Just Do It), but it seems they’ve gone and outdone themselves by creating arguably Nike’s best commercial ever. As part of the Write the Future campaign, the three-minute film was directed by Hollywood director and producer Alejandro G. Iñarritu (21 Grams, Babel), and while seeing a clusterfuck of professional athletes/stars/celebrities in ads is nothing new, the way this was shot and edited will have you watching it over and over.

Google is often credited as the “world’s best company” for both its exceptional business practices and the corporation’s dedication to improving the quality of life through technology. Now, not only will Google be everyone’s home page, but it will be the first channel on our TVs as Google is introducing Google TV. Industry insiders are getting happy pants over the news, “It’s a blockbuster announcement,” says Ken Dulaney, an analyst with research firm Gartner. “Google is bringing its brand and openness to a space where Apple and Microsoft haven’t done much with.” Alright Mr. Dulaney, stay away from black-lights.

Spain’s national team might be a little banged up right now, but their coach is about as worried as Roseanne Barr is sexy. Vicente Del Bosque, Spain’s coach, made his final line-up with over four injured players, but he insists that analysts need to cool out, “There is a slight concern but they are here and that’s because the reports from the medical staff and physical trainers are positive and we are confident they will be at 100 per cent at the start of tournament.”

Greedy Genius ‘Brutus’

Greedy Genius offers a preview of their latest  model, the all-new Brutus. At first glance, we couldn’t but help notice the similarities to Visvim’s FBT. Not only the silhouette, but especially when viewing the midsole. The Brutus, however, has clunkier feel than the minimal, and clean aesthetic of the FBT. It will no doubt be a fraction of what the FBT costs, but either way, I’d rather fork out the extra cash.  mash rating: 4/10
