Mike Vallely x Airwalk Enigma ‘Brooklyn Banks’

Originally released in 1991, the Airwalk Enigma represented the first significant shift away from the heavily molded and rubberized skate shoes made famous in the late ’80s. The new design replaced all that weight with high durability leathers and suedes. This latest version sees Airwalk team up with one of their first sponsored skaters, Mike Vallely, who rejoined the team early this year. The colourway and design was inspired by one of skateboarding’s biggest meccas, the Brooklyn Banks, a spot where Vallely grew up skating. Available now through Airwalk’s website. mash rating: 6/10
