Jelly & Light

Jelly & Light is a new project by Paris-based creative studio, Le Creative Sweatshop, that takes a variety of lamps and immerses a section of them in gelatine until it solidifies. The lamps are then photographed resulting in surreal still life images of sleek and colourful objects, which are not immediately recognizable.

Take a look at more from the project after the jump along with some behind-the-scenes shots.

This is one of the dumbest art projects I’ve ever seen. The gelatine alone would suffice, but there are an infinite number of other things I’d rather see solidified within than lamps.
