Respectable, sharp suits, and class. Those are three things that do not come to mind when thinking about hardened criminals. But back at the start of the last century, everyone was classy. Even gangsters. Especially gangsters (case in point, Boardwalk Empire). Need proof? Just check out these mugshots taken from the 1910s to 1930s of criminals arrested in Australia.
