Nicola Kuperus is a musician and photographer based in Detroit. The subjects of her images are exclusively women, and more specifically their legs, and the high heels on their feet. There’s the odd torso, but hardly ever their faces. The images have a vintage quality to them, but beyond that they evoke a sense of darkness, evil and even death. They could easily pass as stills from a Hitchcock film.
