Travelling Still is an ongoing project from Rob Carter, which consists of photographic stills that give the impression of a moving image, as if taken from the side window of a driving vehicle. The London-based photographer uses a revolving lens camera, creating movement ‘in camera’ onto film, with no digital intervention. Over the past five years, Carter has collected the images through his travels to Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Spain, Scotland, Holland, Portugal and Barbados.
