French artist, Hubert de Lartigue creates incredibly realistic paintings of women, concentrating mostly on portraits, nudes, or in this instance, lips. At such a close range, his subjects are able to maintain their anonymity, yet at the same time they reveal much about their personalities as the images are so intimate and suggestive.
