Vintage Transformers Box Art

April 13th, 2012  •   Posted by: mark  •   Posted in: art  •   Comment

Growing up as a kid, you had to love everything about Transformers. The cartoon, the toys, and even the packaging. Created in an era before Photoshop, all the figures portrayed on Transformers boxes were painted by hand, and came complete with real texture and subtle imperfections that made them all that more awesome.

Take a look at some more amazing hand-crafted characters after the jump.

Nostalgia’d. I had the original Starscream. Shit, does that make me vintage too? :(

Nice assortment of vintage pics! this is why 80’s toys are cool to collect.

Takes me back!
