A new film is in the works chronicling the early life of Shepard Fairey and the origin of his OBEY GIANT street art campaign. Directed by Julian Marshall, the film narrates the story of the Buddy Cianci billboard incident that occurred while Shepard was a Junior at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1990. Obey the Giant: The Early Life of Shepard Fairey is not a documentary, but a narrative film, which is currently looking to gain funds via Kickstarter to complete post-production.
