Nathan Walsh is a contemporary British realist painter who often focuses on the urban landscapes of New York. His works transcend simply duplicating the flatness of a photograph onto canvas. He alters his sources by shifting perspectives, changing the size of buildings, and sometimes introducing structures found on Google Earth, inventing another kind of reality.

More after the jump.
