BLACK MANUFACTURING 2013 Fall/Winter

One of our favourite new brands lately has been BLACK MANUFACTURING. The Portland, Oregon-based label designs smart, timeless garments with great cuts, quality materials, and a great attention to detail. I’ve been wearing their shirts over the past few months and they’ve become regular staples in my wardrobe. It’s a slimmer, more tailored fit which I’m a big fan of.
Here we get a preview of their upcoming Fall/Winter collection which consists of a range of button downs including a heavyweight cotton herringbone shirt, a ripstop officer shirt and some plaid twill flannels, both of which were made using Japanese cotton. Last but not least is their herringbone parka which features a cotton camo liner. The new collection will be out soon, but until then the current releases are now available through the brand’s online shop, and for regular updates follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

LRG 2013 Summer Lookbook

Today LRG unveiled the lookbook for their new Summer collection, Children of Vision.
Summer’s travels inspire new perspectives…
To mark the introduction of the Summer ‘13 collection, we trekked to the So. Cal high desert region with a pack of young visionaries: skate team riders Felipe Gustavo and Trent McClung, Compton-based rapper Problem, and Roc Nation super-producer Jahlil Beats. This collection features an assortment of indigenous-inspired prints, patterned tank tops, and sublimated natural camouflage – balanced with classic primaries, color-blocked poplin and earth toned twill. Creative youth stay elevated – at l-r-g, we are the children of vision.

Nudie Jeans Recycled Denim Rug

Nudie Jeans introduces a new limited edition rug made from their old and worn out denim. The jeans were first cut down to serrated strips and sewn together and rolled up on spools. The strips were then woven together by hand on a manual shuttle loom and the weft was made from the same indigo dyed thread they use in their jeans. Made in a limited run of 120, the individually numbered rugs are now available through Nudie’s online shop for €399.

Gitman Vintage 2013 Spring/Summer Shirts

Gitman Bros.’ American heritage line, Gitman Vintage pays tribute to the brand’s past, but with a distinct difference. While continuing to honour the importance of a finely crafted button-down oxford and the indispensable pinpoint, they go back to the archives with an aim at curating an authentic interpretation of their past by selectively appropriating and re-issuing their favorite fabrics. Here we take a complete look at the full range of shirts for Spring/Summer.

Akomplice ‘Magic Plant’ Lookbook

A few weeks back we checked out the Magic Plant collection from Akomplice and today we present you with the accompanying lookbook. Shot by Jessica Rose Lehrman, it features Pro Era’s Kirk Knight, Flatbush Zombies’ Erick Arc Elliot, and Phony PPL’s Elbee Thrie, who showcase the new line in a series of psychedelic and hallucinatory images.
“While the visceral interpretation of the Magic Plant line is apparent through psychedelic filters and photographic after effects, the connection is deeper in that each of these artists stand for progress in their own right. This type of avant-garde lookbook where the focus is equal parts subject, clothing and filters, holds true to Akomplice’s ethos of evolution through innovation. Whether it’s hallucinogenics or deep meditation, Akomplice firmly believes in tapping into a deeper consciousness which they depict through the Magic Plant lookbook.”
The collection goes on sale tomorrow through Akomplice’s online store.
