Urban Snowboarding in Montreal

January 4th, 2013  •   Posted by: mark  •   Posted in: snowboarding, video  •   4 Comments

Skaters see the city with a different eye than regular folks; a creative eye. A ledge is not simply a ledge. Stairs, rails, poles and gaps take on all new meanings. But what about snowboarders? Their activities are almost exclusively limited to the snowy slopes of ski resorts. Or are they? Seb Toots gets a little creative and heads to Montreal’s “mountain” known as Mount Royal to get in a little winter run of his own.

September 9th, 2008  •   Posted by: mark  •   Posted in: snowboarding  •   Comments Off

Burton is getting set to launch their Private Stock line, an extremely limited collection of products available exclusively at a select group of 100 specialty retailers worldwide. Private Stock was created to support our most fashion forward, progressive dealers, who are really in touch with what’s going on in the art and fashion world, and who are looking for a more discerning unexpected product line. Burton worked with Ron English on a few items for the line. Products include a Burton Hero (on the left) and women’s Blender (on the right) snowboards which are both available for $400. The collection also includes the Freezone Boot and Mission EST Binding which are different than the regular catalog offerings because they have special added features. The boot is comprised of both Freestyle and Ozone technologies and the binding features a Shredbed and Ultracap strap. Both are resonably priced at $200.
