The Clockmakers
This video starts off pretty slow but boy do things pick up along the way.
“In this experimental animated short from Renaud Hallée, we travel inside a mysterious mechanism made up entirely of revolving gearwheels, triangles and lines. In this whirling, hypnotic world, dozens of tiny gymnasts leap, somersault and twist through the air. Their spirited acrobatics trigger both narrative and musical sequences that are mesmerizing and, at times, dizzying. Half-figurative and half-abstract, The Clockmakers is a playful creation that is sure to captivate and dazzle its audience.”

Daily Video: David Bowie “The Next Day”
Gary Oldman and Marion Cotillard star in David Bowie’s latest video for The Next Day, which is the third single off his new album of the same name. It’s not only directed again by Floria Sigismundi but is also cinematic, full of symbolism and somewhat revolting. It will have your attention from start to end though.
Oscillate
Oscillate is New York-based digital artist, Daniel Sierra’s thesis animation. The concept behind the video was “to visualize waveform patterns that evolve from the fundamental sine wave to more complex patterns, creating a mesmerizing audio-visual experience in which sight and sound work in unison to capture the viewer’s attention.” Yeah, that sounds about right…
Daily Video: Grimes “Venus In Fleurs”
Grimes recently posted this new video to her tumblr page of a previously unreleased video for Venus In Fleurs.
Hey — this is a video my friend Video Marsh made for this really old Grimes song from my first record. We were supposed to release it ages ago and somehow it didn’t happen probably because it didn’t comply with the press cycle at the time and since I’ve stopped caring about complying with press cycles im sharing this now. This is the only post-genesis official grimes video that i didn’t work on myself that will ever be released :). it’s a different vibe entirely as you can see. i think it’s very very beautiful and haunting and peaceful and scary. all footage is from the reifel bird sanctuary in British columbia.
