New from Swiss label, Jaquet Droz, is the Grande Seconde model. Sporting ceramic, anthracite, and enamel, the all-black watch is truly something to marvel at, and seeing as it has a price tag of over €14 000, that’s probably as far as our relationship will go with this timepiece.

Acapulco Gold ‘Muerte’ Peacoat Parka

January 27th, 2011  •   Posted by: mark  •   Posted in: fashion, news  •   1 Comment

Acapulco Gold introduces their new Muerte peacoat parka. Following in their tradition of making great American garments, they’ve produced a jacket that meets the test of time both in style and durability. Each jacket is still made the original way, by manually producing each piece one by one, thus giving and ensuring each jacket a life of it’s own. Made from 100% cotton twill that is tougher and more durable than the rest, yet still sophisticated enough to wear out on the town, it features a quilted lining for extra warmth, and a storm flap on the collar that adds extra functionality on those coldest of days.  As the coat breaks in, the fabrics will help to maintain the shape and look of the jacket, ensuring the owner a long wear.

They’ve blended the tailored military aesthetic with the toughness that your daily grind requires and came up with a fit that is roomy where you need it for extra layering, yet still keeps you looking clean. Deep front pockets keep your possessions safe, and your hands warm. Inside chest pockets allow for more stowing capabilities. The other carefully appointed details include custom monogrammed buttons, twill Muerte patch on the arm, and a camouflage hangar loop, each loop being unique to each jacket. mash rating: 8/10

Get it now in two colours through the Acapulco Gold online shop.

Coming soon from Casio is the latest addition to the G-Shock family, the GDF-100. Boasting a Riseman-like twin sensor, the watch features an altimeter, barometer and temperature readout for when you’re in the extreme elements. Although not many of us will make use of these, it will still be worth grabbing one just for the looks once they drop in March. mash rating: 7/10
