To celebrate their first anniversary, Schuh You launched a design contest together with NikeiD. All you have to do is visit NikeiD.com and design your own pair of Air Max 1s. After your finished click on “Save and Share” then “copy direct link”. Send the link to AM1@schuh-you.com, and your design will be uploaded to Schuh-You’s website where you can vote for your favourite. The top five sneakers will be voted on by a jury (of which yours truly is a member), and the winner will be sent his winning design.

A few weeks back, we reported on the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Premium, but at the time, we had information on availability. We can now bring you more images of the shoe, as well as let you know that the sneaker has already started hitting retailers including Sneakersnstuff.

Amsterdam boutique, Patta celebrates their 5th anniversary this year, and to celebrate they have once again teamed up with Nike to release a sneaker. This time around, they chose the Air Max 1, and gave it a premium upper featuring mesh, leather, and what appears to be canvas. So far no news has been released as to availability and quantity. Soon, Nike will be adding some more Air Max 1s to their collection. Releasing in October will be the classic running shoe in two colourways featuring a combination of suede and mesh, and speckled midsoles. They’re available now for pre-order through Crooked Tongues’ online shop. mash rating: 7/10

Here is a pair of Air Max 1s designed by the folks at Patta. The Amsterdam-based boutique, unfortunately, never released the shoe. There are supposedly only three in existence. One, however, is currently available on eBay for a ridiculous $1900. The upper is made using canvas and mesh with green accents. The insole features a graphic based on Pink Floyd’s The Wall cover art. It’s too bad these never saw an official release. mash rating: 7.5

We love the Air Max 1 to death. The Air Maxim is a solid sneaker too but why does the toe curl up so much…

We’ve already reported on the red colourway, and it seems Nike will be releasing another OG colourway of the Air Max 1. They will be available July 1st at Berlin’s Overkill with quantities being limited to 24 pairs per colour. They won’t be available online, so you’ll have to camp out if you want to grab a pair. The folks at Overkill will be kind enough to hook up breakfast for those that tough it out. mash rating: 9.5/10

It seems that apart from the pair that we showed you just recently, Nike is getting set to release some more Air Max 1s featuring the all-too familiar Safari pattern. It will be available in a yellow/grey/white and purple/grey/white colourway. You can pre-order them now through Hanon Shop.

Part of Nike’s Summer collection is a new colourway of the Air Max 1. They feature a silver upper with various materials, including a mesh toe box. Get them now at Nike retailers including Colette.
