Asics is getting set to release a new pack of Gel-Lyte Speeds. It will consist of three sneakers, one of which can be seen above in an original blue/black/white colourway. The Gel-Lyte speed is the successor to the Gel-Lyte III and was developed in Japan in 1989 as a result of a growing need for lighter sneakers. The pack is expected to release next week.

The Gel Lyte III has been gaining popularity over recent months thanks in part due to collaborations, and well-executed styles. The comfortable, lightweight shoe has been released in a new ‘White/Navy/Gold’ colourway. You can get them now through eBay.

Last week, we showed you the Patta x Asics Gel Lyte Speed Pack, and now we bring you the matching jackets from the pack, which have a bomber-style, are produced in lightweight and breathable Shape Memory material, with subtle branding and enhancements such as sleeve pockets, waterproof zippers and interchangeable velcro patches. They release along with the shoes on January 31st at Patta.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of Patta. To celebrate, the Amsterdam-based retailer will be releasing several commemorative products, and collaborations. The first being a pack of Gel Lyte Speeds, of which  the lining and insole were designed by Parra, Delta, and Eric Elms. The sneakers release January 31st.

Along with the Gel Lyte III we just showed you, La MJC also designed a Gel Lyte II for Sold Out. They also created a matching scarf to go along with them. These are also limited to 100 pairs of which 76 will go to Colette, 12 to Patta, and 12 to Solebox. These drop December 20th.
