Karmaloop TV’s The Buyer Wire provides a look at some highlights from Freshjive’s upcoming collection for the Spring. Check it out above.
Freshjive Commits Suicide

I’m sure you’re all aware by know that Freshjive has made a big decision to refrain from using their logos on any of their items starting Spring 2010. The vision of founder, Rick Klotz is arguably one of the strongest and most original in streetwear, never sacrificing his creativity in fear of what his fans or buyers might say.
Not one to shy away from controversy, Klotz’s most recent endeavour can be seen on the Freshjive landing page, which plays a press conference from January 22, 1987 when Budd Dwyer – then Treasurer of Pennsylvania – shot himself in the head with a revolver. Many will no doubt see this as very distasteful to say the least (and perhaps rightfully so), and as poor judgment on Klotz’s part, but for those who know him, are familiar with his past and the brand will immediately understand, and get the parallel. It might be a loud way to create closure, but when Freshjive is concerned, Klotz never was the quiet one.

Freshjive ‘09 Holiday Collection

Here we get a look at Freshjive’s Holiday collection. This will be the last collection the brand will be putting out using the Freshjive brand logo, as starting Spring 2010, they will no longer use their logo anywhere on their garments. The Holiday range brings more of their familiar bold graphics – one even calling out one of New York’s most successful streetwear brands as having an affinity for the same sex. Other items include shirts, sweaters, jackets, and pants. mash rating: 8/10
On a side note, LA Downtown News recently published an in-depth article about Freshjive and Rick Klotz. Read it here.

Freshjive ‘09 Fall

Today we bring you the Fall lookbook from Freshjive. A pioneer in the streetwear market, few labels have matched the longevity and consistency of Freshjive. The graphic tees continue to be their bread and butter, and browsing through the Fall offerings, not only could I see myself wearing pretty much each and every one of them, but I’d gladly dish out my hard earned cash for them. Current events, adult humour, brilliantly playful and well-executed designs each and every time. Freshjive is one of those brands that can get me excited about streetwear – something which happens pretty much once in a blue moon (or whenever they come out with a new collection). Along with the tees, expect hats, jackets, sweats, shirts, and more. The collection has already started arriving at retailers. Check out Reserve’s online shop to look at the tees and collection up close, and to make a purchase. mash rating: 9/10

Freshjive ‘RMK’ ‘09 Summer

Freshjive have released their Summer RMK collection. The range is more limited, and more refined – using the highest quality materials, including custom cut tees – than the average Freshjive collections. The line pay homage to such musicians as Muddy Waters, Lead Belly, and Prince Buster, and consists of tees, short-sleeved shirts, and denim. All of which are now available at Boundless.

Freshjive ‘Black Ops’ Collection

Freshjive have released their first tee and cap designs “based on particular classified Pentagon Black Operation patches. The patches are from a recent book, “I Could Tell You but Then You Would Have to Be Destroyed by Me,” by Trevor Paglen. The patches refer to the hidden reality behind the Pentagon’s classified “black” budget which provides billions in dollars to supposed stealth government projects.”
They have released two tees, and a snapback in two colours.
