Here we give you a look at some graphics Jose “Suedehead” Flores submitted for the mashKULTURE + Ludwig Design Contest. He came in a close second, and rightfully so deserves an honourable mention, along with a $100 gift certificate to the Ludwig online shop. Congratulations Jose!

Combining all things Beethoven and Clockwork Orange, and taking it a step beyond, Ludwig have made their mark in an industry cluttered with cheap gimmicks, carbon copies and cookie cutter tactics. In what seems to be more than a short one and a half years, the budding brand has already carved out a niche, and have become a name to be reckoned with. Today, we bring you their Fall collection, which offers a wide range of items including several jackets, shirts, denim, sweats, tees, and accessories like a backpack, hats, belts, and more. mash rating: 8/10

Today we bring you the Summer collection from Ludwig. In under one short year, they have expanded far beyond a simple t-shirt brand to include a full cut-and-sew line. Add to that a strong concept, great materials, and well-executed pieces, and you have a brand that sets themselves apart from the mediocrity that’s so commonplace in streetwear today.

Their new collection is entitled Eroica (“heroic” in Italian) – in reference to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, which pays homage to Napoleon’s heroic conquests – and consists of everything from tees to caps, shorts to shirts and more. Naturally, Alex imagery is once again present, and overall, expect classic, great everyday items for those hot Summer days. The collection will be available through their website next week sometime, and should be arriving at retailers in about two weeks.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Miles Davis’ seminal LP, Kind of Blue, the Miles Davis Foundation joined up with Ludwig to design a tee. The limited edition T-shirt comes on one of Ludwig’s great enzyme washed custom tees, and will be exclusively available at the Ludwig online shop later this week.

We’ve been fans of Ludwig ever since they released their first items last Spring. Not only because they created a concept around one of our favourite movies of all time, but also because they design original, stand out, quality garments. Something that has been getting harder to find. A few weeks back, we reported on the Spring collection, which has already hit stores. Today, however, they launched their online shop, which also stocks the latest goods including online exclusives.

Ludwig’s Spring collection has started hitting retailers this week. Clockwork Orange-imagery is once again present in the Los Angeles-based brand’s new line. They also have a tee designed by Matt W. Moore, and present their new Jackson shorts in two colours. You can find the new pieces now at 80s Purple.

Although they’ve yet to reveal their Spring or Summer collections, we can now offer you a preview of Ludwig’s Fall collection. Dubbed ‘Everything Else is Noise’, the collection shows the talented young brand in a new, mature light. The line consists of several cut and sew pieces including shirts, jackets, denim, and more.

Ludwig present their latest product, the Hoover watch. The Los Angeles-based brand created a swiss-movement watch featuring a stainless steel case, stainless steel buckle and heavy duty nylon webbing band. It is water resistant up to 150ft, and comes packaged in this black satin case. It is limited to only 50 and will released on February 14th, when their online shop goes online.

Ludwig just relaunched their new website. It features a blog, as well as an online shop which will be launching soon. They also have the Fall collection lookbook up as well, which consists of the M65 hoodie, jackets, jerseys, tees, and long sleeves.
