Just recently, Mackdaddy revealed their latest sneaker, the Mack Sk8. The folks at Mackdaddy probably figured since it’s way too obvious which sneaker “inspired” these, they might as well even name them after the classic Vans skate shoe. However, unlike a lot of other rip-offs, which do nothing in terms of creativity, Mackdaddy has designed something new with the Mack Sk8. They have a Sk8-Hi silhouette, but the clean, minimal side gives them a Chukka feel, and together with the bright colourways, and suede/patent combination, they are more than just Canal Street bootlegs. Look for these to release early next month. We appreciate Mackdaddy for attempting something new, but we can’t mess with this much day-glo. mash rating: 4/10
