Oakley ‘Fade’ Frogskins – Rootbeer/Cyan

Beginning this month Oakley debuts their new Fade series of Frogskins. There will be a total of five styles with one releasing each month. The first one is the pair you see above which was given a rootbeer/cyan fade and blue iridium lenses. They will be a limited release so keep an eye out. They release soon through Oakley’s website and selected retailers. mash rating: 7/10

Dave’s Quality Meat x Oakley Frogskins

Following the teaser image posted back in June, we now get a full look at the Oakley Frogskins designed by Dave’s Quality Meat. They feature the New York boutiques trademark bacon motif on the frames and soft case. They are limited to only 50 and release today at DQM. mash rating: 5/10

Primitive x Oakley Frogskins ‘Ride the Lightning’

Paul Rodriguez’s shop, Primitive in Encino has teamed up with Oakley to put out a limited edition pair of Frogskins. They were inspired by Metallica’s 1984 Ride the Lightning album cover, and feature a gradient colourway, fading from black to purple, to midnight blue, and eventually a clear finish. They come with a silk-screened bag, and two sets of arms, each branded with Primitive’s P logo. A matching tee was also designed for the release. The sunglasses are limited to 70, of which 50 will be made available tomorrow at 5pm in-store. The remaining 20 will go on sale through Primitive’s online shop the following day at noon PST. mash rating: 7/10
