For the Spring, Vans has put together a pack of sneakers paying tribute to NYC skate legend, Zoo York founder, Andy Kessler (RIP). The pack consists of an Old Skool and a Sk8-Hi, and utilizes a combination of leathers and perforated suede in a black/white colourway with contrasting blue laces. They feature an ‘AK’ logo on the insole, and special rubber ‘NYC’ tabs on the heels. Look for these to release in the coming weeks. mash rating: 8/10

Here we get a look at a new pack from Vans. It consists of four Sk8-Hi models, each utilizing a simple tonal patent leather upper. Even the stitching is tonal. Unfortunately, these are Japan exclusives, so you’ll be hard pressed to grab a pair Stateside or in Europe. mash rating: 6/10

Palace 5ive and Vans join forces to design a new Sk8-Hi Vert-Pro. The Washington DC-based retailer took inspiration from the original Ballistic Sk8-Hi Vans Syndicate released in 2006, and shoe features chess ford ballistic mesh and Benecke CeraPrene as well as a hex nut 3rd lace hole, white perforated leather liner and contrast stitching. They also feature blue wax laces as well as a traditional white lace option, and are limited to only 200 pairs. They release this Saturday at Palace 5ive. mash rating: 7/10

Part of Vans’ Holiday collection is a new pack of sneakers. Dubbed the Cow Hair pack, it consists of both a Slip On and a Sk8-Hi with uppers made from pony hair. They are now arriving at select Vans retailers. mash rating: 4/10

Part of the Vans Fall/Winter collection is a new pack of sneakers. Consisting of a Half Cab and a Sk8-Hi, both feature a grey, black, red upper with a combination of textile and nubuk materials. Look for it soon at Vans retailers. mash rating: 5/10

Here we get a look at the full Division 1 pack from Vans. The blue and red sneakers have been going around the internets over the past few weeks, but here we see that there is also a black colourway (which arguably is the pick of the litter) to the pack as well. All feature a white sole, raised embroidery stripe along the side, and “1966″ also embroidered on the back heel. Look for these now at your local Vans retailer. mash rating: 8.5/10

Part of the Vans Syndicate Fall/Winter collection is a new pair of the Sk8-Hi model designed by Jason Jessee. The notch back term refers to the cut made into at the rear of the shoe; something rarely seen on the Sk8-Hi. The shoes come with a cinch bag and an extra set of laces. Look for them at selected Vans Syndicate retailers. mash rating: 7/10

2009 will mark the third installment of the ongoing collaboration between Kiss and Vans. Later this year, they will release a pack inspired by their double-platinum album from 1976, Rock and Roll Over. Items include a Sk8-Hi, a Slip on, a tee, and a pair of jeans.
