Gourmet has just revealed the first delivery of their Spring Collection, which consists of five models: the Quattro B (above), which features a ballistic nylon upper with a leather liner; the Dicinove, which utilizes a nappa and vegetable tan leather upper with cotton lace detail; the Nove L, which has a lizard-printed full-grain leather upper; the Cinque Epi, made from French calf-tanned epi leather; the Quattro UNDFTD, which is their first collaboration, pairing them with Undefeated. The shoe features a linen-printed, full-grain leather upper with four cotton-coiled laces (red, black, white and royal). These will be available at all Undefeated locations and select retailers on February 15th, and the UK/EU/Asia the following week, while the rest of the collection should hit Gourmet’s online shop in a few hours. mash rating: 9/10

For the Spring, Vans has put together a pack of sneakers paying tribute to NYC skate legend, Zoo York founder, Andy Kessler (RIP). The pack consists of an Old Skool and a Sk8-Hi, and utilizes a combination of leathers and perforated suede in a black/white colourway with contrasting blue laces. They feature an ‘AK’ logo on the insole, and special rubber ‘NYC’ tabs on the heels. Look for these to release in the coming weeks. mash rating: 8/10

Last year saw the return of the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo in original and new colourways. It seems we’ll be seeing more of the classic basketball sneaker in a simple black/varsity red version. Expect these to arrive at retailers soon. You can also find them already on eBay. mash rating: 7/10

To celebrate the premiere of the final season of LOST tonight, Supra teamed up with ABC to create an exclusive sneaker paying homage to the series. A total of 50 pairs of the ‘LOST’ Vaider were produced and given to cast and crew of the show except for a small run of 17 pairs that will be available to LOST and Supra fans exclusively through Factory 413 later this afternoon. The Supra x LOST package comes complete with a pair of ‘LOST’ Vaiders in white and gold colour featuring cracked leather, ‘Expose’ crew mug, and  a numbered copy of an original LOST script signed by writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

The theme around the project was centered on the news program ‘Expose’ – a fictional program that appears numerous times throughout the LOST series as a show-within-the-show. In true LOST tradition, the shoes are covered in clues and references taken from the episode in which Expose first appears (the 14th episode of the third season – hence the 17 pairs releasing today). From the ‘Razzle Dazzle’ on the heel to the ‘paralyzing’ insole, fans of the series will be sure to understand the meaning of all the subtle hints included in the shoe’s construction.

The Footscape has always been one of Nike’s more forward-thinking models, and it’s no different with their latest version for the Spring. The Footscape Freemotion incorporates Flywire technology, and pairs it with a Free sole to make it even lighter, and extremely comfortable. We’re especially feeling this white/red colourway.
